Bank Negara Scholarship - Pre-University Scholarship Scheme

Pre-University Scholarship Scheme

Open to eligible candidates to pursue Pre-University studies at local colleges. Sponsorship to pursue Bachelor Degree (Honours) in foreign universities will be extended subject to meeting the approved criteria.

Field of Study:

Economics / Financial Engineering / Accounting / Actuarial Science / Banking and Finance/Corporate Finance/Islamic Banking and Economics/ Law / Syariah Law / Information Technology / Mathematics / Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

* Passed the 2007 SPM examination with at least 8 1A’s
* Not exceeding 19 years old of age on 1 July 2008

Additional Requirements:

* Good command of the English language, both written and oral
* Flexible, versatile and posses high teamwork capabilities
* Excelled in both extra-curricular activities and sports

Open to eligible candidates who have been offered a place to pursue Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in local and foreign universities and students who are currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in local or foreign universities are also eligible to apply.

Economics / Financial Engineering / Accounting / Actuarial Science / Banking and Finance/Corporate Finance/Islamic Banking and Economics/ Law / Syariah Law / Information Technology / Mathematics / Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

Fulfilling at least one of the following criteria:

* STPM / A-Level - at least 2 A and 1 B; or
* Diploma / Matriculation - Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.50; or
* Australian Matriculation - TER of at least 85% ; or
* For candidates currently pursuing First Degree - Current CGPA of at least 3.50.
* Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
* Not exceeding 25 years of age on 1 July 2008
* Have confirmed or will be offered a place to pursue a First Degree in 2008 at recognised local or foreign universities

* Excelled in both extra-curricular activities and sports

Open to Bachelor's Degree (Honours) holders from local or foreign universities and post graduate students who are currently pursuing Master's Degree and Doctorate (Ph.D) in local or foreign universities are also eligible to apply.

Economics / Financial Engineering / Accounting / Actuarial Science / Banking and Finance/Corporate Finance/Islamic Banking and Economics/ Law / Syariah Law / Information Technology / Mathematics / Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

* Obtained a First Class (Honours) Bachelor / Master’s Degree or equivalent from recognised local and foreign universities
* Will pursue courses that will add value to the roles and functions of Bank Negara Malaysia
* Not exceeding 30 years old for Master and 35 years old for PhD.
* Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
* Have confirmed or will be offered a place to pursue Master’s / Doctorate Degree in 2008 at recognised local or foreign universities

Those who fulfilled the minimum requirements are required to send a written application to Scholarship Section, Bank Negara Malaysia along with these documents:

* Curriculum Vitae / Resume
* Certified copy of Bachelor Degree’s / Master’s Degree’s results
* Letter of recommendation from previous or current university
* One (1) page of Abstract / Executive Summary of your proposed research

Post graduate students who are currently pursuing Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree (PhD) at recognised local or foreign universities are also eligible to apply.
